Description

Student health services (SHS), or clinics located on college and university campuses, provide preventative, acute, and chronic care. SHS availability is associated with improved health outcomes and academic success, yet rural regional campuses often lack SHS, requiring students to travel to the main campus. While SHS located on rural campuses would address access barriers, research is limited regarding the specific health challenges rural students experience.
